Pretty Parasite

"Pretty Parasite" is a series dealing with mental health. In this series parasitic worms are symbolic for all the inner demons and negative energy that we have inside of us. Processing and getting rid of these "parasites" isn't easy and like the illustration depicts a real struggle that you can get entangled in.

Pretty Parasite is series of illustrations that references the Italian statue the Laocoön Group, the prototypical icon of human agony and also the diverse and fascinating micro-world of insects.
